Where did my baby go?

All of the sudden, I have realized that Cash is growing up! Seriously, I feel like it has happened overnight. First, he started sleeping through the night :) Oh joyful day! OK, well he has really only done it once and that was a few nights ago, but he usually only wakes up once now and I just have to go in and give him his binkie and he goes right back to sleep :) And this isn't a big deal or really even worth typing, but I'm gonna say it because it is just more evidence of him growing up... I have been trying to get him for the past few weeks to switch from his baby binkie to the 6+ months binkie. Well, he loves his big boy binkie now... and he realized this on the same day he realized that he no longer wants a bottle! What?!? What 7 month old baby doesn't use a bottle anymore? Apparently, Cash. Yes, he only will drink from his sippie cup now. I know, he's nuts! But hey I guess I don't have to worry about getting rid of the bottle, right? Just two more things now... he is crawling everywhere (as you can see from the last picture). And I have a video of him from a few weeks ago pulling himself up. Is it bad that when he falls at the end you can hear laughter coming from his mom on the video? Cash on Easter!

Oh Frank!

I decided to dedicate a post to our little monster, Frank. Poor Frankie used to be our little baby, but you know how it goes... he has fallen a little lower on the totem pole the last 6 1/2 months! For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Frankie (note the sarcasm) he is the most hyper, out of control dog EVER! But, for some reason we still love him! His groomer puts it best, she always tells me that Frank is "a little rascal!" However, I have never met a sweeter dog. His entire purpose in life is to love everyone! We try to get him to chase birds, cats other dogs... you know the usual things dogs love, but no, he just wants to be everyone's best friend! He is such a sweet little cuddle bug, though at times it is a little too close... I know he is just trying to say "I love you!" So this post is to Frankie! I love you monster! And I am going to strive to be a better dog mom :)

Matt and I decided to start working out together every night! Soon, we'll be as ripped as this couple. You guys better go get your tickets... for the "gun" show! ha ha (yes I know that joke isn't funny to anyone older than 12, but it still cracks me up) :) I'm hoping by posting this someone out there will hold us accountable to our workout plan. Feel free to harass us if we don't look as good as the body builder couple in a few months :) Have a nice night folks!

Awesome Weekend :)

Friday night Matt and I went on a much needed date... we ate at Ruby Tuesday's (buy one meal, get one free!) And went and to the movies. We ended up staying the night at Matt's parents because they were watching Cash and we didn't want to make the long trek back home late that night. We woke up to Matt's mama making us breakfast! What a treat :) It is always great spending time with them!

Saturday was the start of General Conference for our church. We watched it on TV and then Saturday night Matt went with the guys in my family to the priesthood session and the ladies got to go out to Applebee's! It was delicious and so much fun to spend time with my grandma, mom sisters, niece and nephew.

Sunday, conference continued and it was amazing! Both Matt and I feel uplifted and ready to make some improvements in our lives :) Now, here we are on Sunday night. We just got home from dinner at my grandparent's house (Someburro's... could it get any better?!?) Cash is asleep and I'm going to start some house cleaning before spending some time with Matty and finally drifting off to dreamland :) What an awesome weekend it was! Tomorrow starts off a full week of tax appointments, vet appointments, insurance appointments and a lot of work... but we wouldn't have it any other way! Have a great week guys :)

Where does the time go?

I just don't understand when my tiny little baby... Turned into this little guy!
Cash is now 6 months old! He is getting so big... it seems like he is growing by the minute! Some exciting new tidbits about this little guy... he is now crawling! Only about 2 or 3 steps at a time, but somehow he manages to make his way around the house that way. It amazes me when I turn my back for just a minute and I look back at him to see him in a completely different spot from where I last saw him. Also, this little guy has two teeth and has discovered his love for biting. One of his favorite things to do is scoot up next to my feet and bite my toes! He still isn't the best sleeper, but that's ok... we still love him like crazy. I guess I can catch up on sleep in a few years, right? Also, the past week he has been trying his hand at the sippy cup. He loves playing with it, but I don't think he knows that he is supposed to drink from it yet. Any mamas out there with good suggestions on sippy cups?

Matt and I are so in love with our little Cash Man and feel so blessed to be his parents! Isn't life wonderful? We sure do think so :)

This weekend was full of family time! On Saturday, we had a Shill family reunion. It was great to relax at the park and see all of our family members... including some we didn't even know :) After that, we went over to Matt's grandparent's house for some more family time. Matt's grandma made a delicious dinner and we visited with some other family. What a fun day it was! We are so blessed to have so many family members close by! Grey's Fans... what do you think?

Lately, I have been driving myself crazy with what is happening on Grey's Anatomy with Izzie. I love her on the show so much and I don't want to see her go. I know, I am such a dork for getting so involved in a crazy TV show, but I just can't help it... it is my guilty pleasure :) I found this article that says she wants to stay if the show wants her.
